I.C.NAGOYA – General Japanese Program

I.C.NAGOYA is a long-established language school founded in Nagoya in 1982 that has been providing Japanese language education to international students for over 40 years. Bringing together students from different countries, the school has students from more than 40 countries. I.C.NAGOYA offers not only language education but also a variety of services that support students' study, life and career goals in Japan.

Since November 2025, the school has been operating at its new campus, about 5 minutes from the Taiko-dori Exit of Nagoya Station. Thanks to its central location, students can easily access the city's transportation network. The campus has modern classrooms equipped with projection systems, free Wi-Fi, individual study spaces, books and learning materials, and a Learning Management System (LMS) used in some classes.

At I.C.NAGOYA, students are also supported in their lives outside class. School staff help students with matters such as accommodation, daily life in Japan, finding part-time work and career planning. Educational counseling is provided for students considering going on to university or vocational school, while students looking for jobs can receive support with résumé writing and interview skills. School trips, speech contests and various cultural events also encourage students to use Japanese in real-life settings.

The General Japanese Program is I.C.NAGOYA's program offering smaller classes and a communication-focused learning model. In classes of up to 8 students, the aim is for students to get more speaking practice during lessons and to receive closer support from teachers. The program is designed especially for students who want to manage their daily lives in Japan in Japanese, improve their communication skills, and live or work in Japan in the future. For students who prioritize going on to university or vocational school, the school's Comprehensive Japanese Program is offered as a more suitable option.
