ICA International Conversation Academy was established in 1955 as an English language school and, in 1963, opened its Japanese Language Department to provide Japanese language education to international students. Located in Ikebukuro, one of Tokyo’s central districts, the campus offers opportunities to study Japanese from basic conversation to advanced levels. In addition, ICA provides support and preparatory programs for students planning to continue to universities, short-term colleges, or vocational schools.

The name “Conversation Academy” emphasizes the importance of students developing their speaking skills not only inside the classroom but also through interaction with teachers and staff outside of class. School excursions, parties, and various other activities help students gain a deeper understanding of Japanese culture and adapt more easily to life in Japan.

ICA is situated in Tokyo’s Ikebukuro area, just a few minutes’ walk from JR Ikebukuro Station. This central location gives students convenient access to the city’s wide range of facilities.
