EDUSAMA began its journey in 2018 under the name “Newjoy Japan Consultancy”, offering visa consultancy services for Japan. In 2019, by incorporating a travel agency into its structure, the company expanded its service portfolio and started providing comprehensive solutions related to Japan.

In 2021, EDUSAMA entered the education sector by launching its Online Japanese Language Program. The courses offered in Turkey were prepared in full alignment with the curricula and materials of partner schools in Japan, enriched with Turkish explanations, ensuring that students could enjoy and effectively learn Japanese.

By 2021, to manage its expanding operations more efficiently, EDUSAMA restructured its services under a dual company model: one focusing on education and the other on travel services, both united under the EDUSAMA brand. This strategic division enabled the company to specialize in both fields and provide more effective services.

In 2022, EDUSAMA launched its Ministry of Education approved distance learning center, exclusively dedicated to Japanese language education. It became the first and only institution in Turkey to provide structured online Japanese training programs specifically for JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) N5 and N4 levels. Through this initiative, EDUSAMA extended Japanese language learning beyond geographical limitations, reaching a wider student base.

In 2023, EDUSAMA expanded into publishing, becoming the first in Turkey to publish level-based Japanese language textbooks. This allowed the company to provide students with reliable, high quality resources to guide them throughout their learning journey.

In 2024, EDUSAMA took a major step into technology driven education, launching a new venture in the field of AI-powered educational software. By opening an R&D office within Mersin Technopark, EDUSAMA began developing innovative education technologies aimed at making language learning more accessible and effective, addressing the future needs of education.

In February 2025, EDUSAMA strengthened its presence in Japan by establishing Edusama Japan in Tokyo. Today, EDUSAMA Japan provides accommodation services for students wishing to study in Japan and delivers AI powered educational software and management solutions to Japanese language schools.
